The Castle of Sentmenat dates back to the year 1056 and has its origins as milestone castle . The lords of the castle were holders of the title of lords of the “mero e mixto imperio”; that is to say, they had the civil and criminal jurisdiction throughout their municipality.
The building is completely made of stone and is fairly well preserved in its exterior. It stands out the main facade and the coat of arms which is in the key of the door, in addition to the Gothic and Renaissance windows.
