Once you have visited the monastery, you can also go to the Celler Modernista (Modernist Winery), a building by Cesar Martinell. The origin of this winery date back to 1921, when a group of local winemakers founded the Union of Cellars of Sant Medir and Caixa Rural, a cooperative that aimed to make wine together to make the most of it. This union promoted the construction of a cooperative winery to carry out winemaking and store the wine until its sale. Currently a permanent exhibition explains the wine making and the transformation of agriculture of Sant Cugat.
