DAY 1

Morning

You can start your weekend by doing the Ruta to Pedra Seca of Rellinars, a route that largely crosses the massif of Sant Llorenç del Munt and Obac. This tour will allow you to discover the winemaking past of the town through the dry-stone huts.

Departure and starting point: Church of Sant Pere i Sant Fermí (at the parking, take the asphalt road that leaves the parking and descends to the left towards the stream Font d’en Sala)

Along the way, you can’t miss:

The church of Sant Pere i Sant Fermí, the former parish of Rellinars, which has its origins in the 10th century and has evolved a lot over time.

La Font del Càntir: this spring is located in a fairly deep basin. On the walls of the basin, you will see remains of dry stone walls, apparently (as was common in the past) this type of cavity was used to make corrals or shelters.

Along the route, we will find vineyard huts: the hut of Pere Baqué, the hut of Casajoana and the hut of Ramon del Gibert de Baix: the vineyard huts are linked to the wine-growing past of Rellinars. These types of constructions were warehouses for storing tools and served as shelters for the long days of work in the field.

The Casot: dry stone runes of which the function they had had is unknown, but which seem to have been part of a larger construction. One of the hypotheses is that these runes could belong to an ancient watchtower.

Are you hungry after this walk? Well, we suggest you stop at one of the restaurants in Rellinars and taste the local cuisine.

AFTERNOON

In the afternoon, we propose that you escape to do the Route of the Fountains. This is a beautiful route that will allow you to discover some of the most characteristic elements of the Rellinar landscape: the springs and the heritage related to viticulture.

Place of departure and arrival: Plaça de Ca l’Anton, behind the town hall.

Along your route you can not miss:

La Balma de l ‘Andaló: a cavity that bears the name of the farmer who cultivated these fields and who later served as a shelter for its inhabitants during the Civil War.

The dry-stone vineyard huts: the Les Cases huts and the Masnou hut.

Les Fonts de Rellinars: after a rainy season these springs radiate with abundant water. You can stop to fill the canteen! You will also find a small picnic area where you can stop to eat.

In Rellinars you will find two rural houses, Can Seuba and the Masia Casajoana. You can find more information about these two establishments at this link.

Oh! In the evening, with the sunset, you can enjoy the spectacular views that you will have and take some pictures!

DAY 2 

MORNING

For the next morning we suggest you go to the Casa Nova de l ‘Obac (an area located within the scope of the Natural Park of Sant Llorenç del Munt and the Serra de l ‘Obac) and to discover the surroundings while taking the walk of the Font de la Portella.

La Portella Fountain Hike

Distance: 3.4 Km

Approximate duration: 1 h.

Departure point: Casa Nova de l’Obac (Information Point of Casa Nova de l’Obac)

It is a linear route, very flat, suitable for people with functional diversity.

Along the way, you can’t miss:

The views of Montserrat you will have all just to start the hike.

The runes of the old farmhouse Mas de l‘Obac Vell.

The views of the monolith known as the Paller de Tot l’Any.

If you prefer to take a thematic guided route related to bandits who were in these areas, we suggest you take the Route of the Bandits offered by the educational services company Cima. This route has a duration of 3.5 h and also has as its starting point the Casa Nova de l’Obac. Please contact them in advance to know the conditions of this service and make the reservation in advance.

Oh! And to end the weekend in the best way, we suggest you stop at the Restaurant La Pastora, where you can have a fork breakfast, a vermouth or the lunch menu of Capablanca (a very feared and well-known bandit in the area!)
