The origins of the Real Club de Golf El Prat, one of the most important and prestigious clubs of Spain, clubs date back to the year 1912 when the count Churruca founded the Barcelona Golf Club, which would later be called Golf Club of Pedralbes. A few years later, the visit of the monarch Don Alfonso XIII would add the ‘Real’ distinctive to the name.
Currently the Club has a complex of 260 hectares with the most modern facilities. The beautiful building of the clubhouse, designed by Carles Ferrater, is the neuralgic point of its facilities.
The golf course was designed by Greg Norman. It has seven different routes, all par 72, and each of them has seven possible exits.
This club has Biosphere Sustainable Lifestyle sustainable tourism certification and European Charter for Sustainable Tourism accreditation.
