The origin of the Vallhonrat Ethnographic Museum of Rubí can be traced back to the middle of the last century when Miquel Vallhonrat i Brau started in the world of collecting. The collection began with pieces of the family (early 18th century). Then, it incorporated new elements either for acquisition or thanks to the contributions of the people of Rubí. His son, Pere Vallhonrat, has given a major impetus for research and extension of the collection. Currently, the museum has about 7,000 pieces exposed by topics.
