Menhir of the Pedra Llarga

The menhir of the Pedra Llarga of Palau-solità i Plegamans is a megalithic monument of 2.5 meters high. It had a religious function dedicated to the cult of the dead or to the powers of the divinities, but it also could be used as a milestone to mark territorial boundaries.

The existence of this construction is not a strange fact, since there have been documented different findings from the Neolithic, the Iberian villages and also a great deal of Roman material in the Vallès.
