The Centre de Documentació i Museu Tèxtil (CDMT) works to preserve and disseminate the textile heritage, for both specialists and the general public. It offers services of restoration, conservation and documentation of the textile, training for professionals and students, exhibitions, workshops and different activities.
We find the origin of the Centre de Documentació i Museu Tèxtil in the context of the high spirits of the textile industry in the Vallès, from the private collection of Josep Biosca, in 1946. This Industrialist of wool gave Terrassa a major collection of historic fabrics. Years later, this fund was increased with the collection that the Diputació de Barcelona had acquired to the Industrialist from Barcelona Ricard Viñas.
The Museum is adapted for people with reduced mobility and sensory disabilities. Check with the Museum for more information.
