Romanesque church of Sant Salvador

Esglesia romanica de Sant Salvador

The present parish of Polinyà, built in the 18th century, preserves part of the original Romanesque temple of Sant Salvador. Currently the Romanesque structure makes the functions of entrance portico of the modern temple. It is interesting the decoration with blind arches and Lombard bands of the apse of the primitive church, which responds to the style of the first Romanesque.

Inside you can see a reproduction of the Romanesque murals of the apse that are now preserved in the Museu Diocesà of Barcelona.
