Journey through the old town of Castellar del Vallès

Castellar del Vallès has a large amount of public and private buildings full of charm. By this journey through the old town, we will see a good example of buildings with several functionalities and of various styles of the mid-19th century and beginning of the 20th century.

The route runs through the old town of Castellar. It passes through the Arxiu d’Història de Castellar, which has a small museum of the life of the village; Cal Targa, which was a summer residence of the President of the Generalitat, Lluís Companys; the Municipal School of Music Torre Balada, built in 1897 and of modernist style; Palau Tolrà, building of classical forms built between 1850 and 1890, and the church of Castellar, architectural construction of modern gothic style built in 1885.
